Protect your rental property's heating from tenant misuse
The problem
A tenant moves the room thermostat somewhere unrepresentative of the room — next to a window, out on a balcony — and the boiler ends up running non-stop chasing a false reading, driving up bills and wearing out the equipment.
Typical situations
- Rented apartment or house with tenant turnover
- Landlord wants visibility without micromanaging comfort
- Concern about a thermostat being placed somewhere unrepresentative of the room
The ThermoB solution
RF2D1.WiFi pairs one receiver with two wireless room modules. One stays with the tenant for everyday comfort control; the second can be mounted somewhere fixed and out of easy reach as a reference point. The landlord sets safe minimum and maximum temperature limits once, remotely, and can review both modules' readings from the app. (Automatic anomaly detection between the two modules is planned for a future firmware update — today the value comes from the fixed reference point and the enforced temperature limits.)

Manage a holiday-let's heating remotely between guest stays
A holiday-let sits empty between bookings. Running heating full-time wastes energy and money, but guests arriving to a cold property leave bad reviews.
Consistent, managed heating across shared student housing
A shared student house or hall of residence has several rooms, each with different occupants and habits. Site visits for every complaint or thermostat reset are expensive and slow.
WiFi upgrade: replace only the thermostat
The heating works fine, but the old wired thermostat has no schedule and cannot be controlled from a phone. Nobody wants to touch the pipes, the boiler or the wiring.
